I love your house, I can't wait to see more. It does look a lot like the house we saw together, is the floor plan similar? Do you have office space? Storage? Can you show pix of these things without showing off your lack of furniture?
Someone once told me that I could always buy inflatable furniture while I waited to get a couch. Disgusting. But with kids, hey, that might be fun! They are NOT fun to deflate, though, I've had to help someone else do that.
